  1. My husband and I plus kids moved quite a few times and my grandfather who was living at that time would call us gypsies.And then he would speak in Slovak to my grandmother. I just wonder what he was saying then. Then sometimes he would call us “huncits” just like the gypsies. I never thought about all that until now.

    • I hear that word “huncut” applied affectionately to young boys in family — it means “joker” or “rapscallion”!
