Indeed, it has been like that since long ago. Take Hungarian Parliament building in Budapest – built mainly by Slovak workforce. These “múračky” are shown in Tisícročná včela.
And nowadays, Czechs go to Germany, Slovaks to Bohemia and Austria, Ukrainians to Bohemia and Slovakia… but it is similar story almost everywhere. Indians and Filipinos go to Arabic countries, Mexicans to the US, southeastern Asians to Australia…
Yes, this is not a new story, but it echoes again and again across cultures and generations.
And… Vyborne! Thanks for the Tisícročná včela tip, there are so many films I need to see! This one seems to have so many familiar scenes and so much music…
